Percy Lodge

Percy Lodge on Christ Church Road was built around 1740 as a hunting lodge for Richmond Park. Its name suggests assocations with the Dukes of Northumberland. It is the only 18th century house that survives in East Sheen. It was threatened with demolition in 1926 but rescued by the architect, Robert Atkinson. who restored it for his own use and also designed the houses which were built in the grounds.

The painting of 1825 is by Gideon Yates.
