Greenfields

Greenfields was built for Sir Robert Hamilton in the 1870s opposite Christ Church. Hamilton held various posts in the civil service and was Governor of Tasmania from 1887 to 1893. The house was originally called Bressay Lodge – Hamilton was born in Bressay in Shetland. The house survives but is now divided into two residences: 67 and 69 Christ Church Road.
