Coval Lodge

Around 1850 the farmland which stretched from Sheen Common to the Upper Richmond Road was sold off and divided into twenty plots, mainly of one or two acres. Sharon Villa was built in the 1850s on one of the farm plots by Joseph Wigley, a fire hose manufacturer. The house was later renamed Coval Lodge. It was demolished in the 1930s. Coval Road and Coval Gardens were built on the site.
